Massages, manicures and mimosas sounds like the perfect day at the spa.

Well not exactly. These days more and more people are finding that when it comes to pampering, there's no place like home.

"We are a mobile spa," says Spa Chicks On the Go founder Marie Scalogna. "We bring the day spa to your home. We do everything from manicure, pedicures, body wraps, body scrubs massage therapy, hand and foot treatments and we even do air brush tanning."

That's right, now spa companies are delivering a new kind of service. Scalogna is the founder of Spa Chicks On the Go one company that creates a spa party right in your living room.

"Usually when you go to spa, you have to succumb to the spa's rules, you have to be quiet, you have to have respect for others around you," says Scalogna. "At our parties, you just can kick your feet back, do what you want, say what you want, eat what you want and just have a good time."

Whether it's for a bachelorette party, a shower or for no reason at all, spa parties are the hottest new way to let off some steam.

"Oh my gosh, I'm feeling great," says spa party guest Mary Blackmon DeRoker. "So far I've had a hand massage, I'm having a manicure, I'm having my feet rubbed from pounding the pavement all week."

"I think it's fantastic," says Sandra Schwartz. "I am relaxed, I am with my friends, I'm eating cookies, I'm having a cocktail. It couldn't be better."

The tone of the party is all up to the host from the theme and the music.

Also, unlike a spa, the parties can be customized around your budget. There are minimum time requirements for the technicians, but a basic party starts at around $$50 per person and that can include an array of services.

Mobile spa companies come with it all. Aside from the supplies, the Spa Chicks also brings cups, plates and even robes and slippers. All the host needs to supply is the food.

"I'm thinking of throwing one for when there's lots of sports stuff, when guys get together and watch sports, and what are the girlfriends and the wives going to do? I think they should have these people over," says Schwartz.
