A February discussion at Radio City Music Hall featuring former Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton was canceled Wednesday, after the event was wrongly promoted as a "debate."
Spokesmen for the both former presidents say the event was canceled because an overeager promoter had inaccurately hyped it as a debate. They say the event had been planned as a moderated and serious discussion between Clinton and Bush.
The event was to have taken place on February 25 as part of Madison Square Garden Entertainment's third annual "Minds That Move The World" speaker series.
MSG officials declined to comment.
