Chain Restaurant Owner To Post Calories Nationwide

Yum Brands, the owner of fast-food joints Taco Bell, KFC, Pizza Hut and other chains, said today that it will get ahead of legislation and voluntarily post calorie information on menu boards in its 20,000 restaurants nationwide.

The city began enforcing a rule in July, requiring restaurants with at least 15 locations nationwide to list calorie counts on menu boards.

Yesterday, California passed a law making it the first state to require chains to post calorie information.
