How fast can you crush a watermelon with your head? Can you eat an airplane? Can you do either fast enough to set a new record?
Well you can try, without the risk of concussion or the worst case of indigestion known to man thanks to "Guinness World Records," the video game. In fact, there are 40 different activities you can compete in virtually that you'd probably never dream of actually doing.
The neat thing is you can compete online and set an actual Guinness Record for being the fastest at virtual Guinness stunts. If you set a record, you can get your name written up in the real world Guinness World Records archive.
The game is for either the Nintendo Wii or DS, so you will be going through the motions of going for these records. Thankfully, the price of the game is perfectly average. It runs between $25 and $40 and is rate E10+.
A new Nintendo DS title, "Personal Trainer: Cooking" trains you to be a cook in your kitchen.
"It's actually a guide to help you cook," says David Young of Nintendo. "First of all you can choose from over 245 different recipes and it'll take you step by step through preparation. In fact, with a lot of the things, there are videos to show you detailed steps on how to do the different things."
And so that you don't get your DS covered in cooking ingredients while preparing, you can advance to the next step using your voice, instead of the controller, thanks to the DS's built in microphone.
Before you start cooking, you choose a recipe, how many people you're making for, and then the DS creates a shopping list for you based on what you do and do not have in cupboard.
"Personal Trainer: Cooking," which is rated E for Everyone, is out this week for the DS. It will slice about $20 from your paycheck.
